About the directory
The 2008 Directory of NCVO Approved Consultants is now closed.
The Directory of NCVO Approved Consultants is a resource for voluntary sector organisations that require the services of a consultant. The directory aims to ensure that the consultant they choose is equipped with relevant experience and expertise of working with the sector. It provides a list of consultants who have successfully undergone NCVO's approval process.
We are making a number of improvements to the 2008 edition which will add value to your listing. Following on from successfully launching the online format of the directory to our members last year, we will be making the directory freely available to all visitors to our website - over 45,000 visitors a month. The directory will also be printed and sent free to NCVO's members - over 5,000 organisations.
Consultants will be offered the opportunity to enhance their entries with the ability to upload logos for display on the online edition, as well as being able to have a PDF flyer or brochure for prospective customers to download.
We have also streamlined the application process so that while consultants will still have to demonstrate how they provide a high quality service and will be assessed against our five service values, we will no longer be asking applications to provide us with referees to contact.
Consultants will also be asked if they would like to offer NCVO members a discount on their services. The amount that would be discounted is at the discretion of the consultant. This is entirely optional and the decision to offer our members a discount will have no bearing on the success of any application. We will, however, highlight the consultants that are willing to offer a discount to members in the online directory.
NCVO Approved Consultants must demonstrate a commitment to providing high quality service and share NCVO's service values.
Consultants are assessed against five standards:- Operational standards
- Contract capability
- Delivery process
- Delivery and output evaluation
- Continuous improvement
There is a fee for inclusion in the Directory of NCVO Approved Consultants. The fees for 2008 are listed below. Your entry will not be confirmed until payment is received. Please do not send payment at this stage. Once your entry has been approved we will provide you with details on how to pay.

| £240+VAT | for organisations with a turnover up to £500,000 |
| £320+VAT | for organisations with a turnover greater than £500,000 |
| NCVO corporate affiliates* receive a 50% discount on their entry: | |
